It's not the city, but it's not the ghetto, which makes me happy. Our apartment it's nice and roomy. Hopefully this will mean I will have no episodes of clostophobia while we live here ^_~

Placement test in two weeks.
Generality can be kind of a cop-out, but I don't want to get too specific this close to 1 am.

Too often do we go through life without really expressing the ways that we appreciate or love others. We get caught up in our own lives, our pride, our ego, etc., that we don't take the time to let our friends and family know how we feel.

So, in a broad, somewhat impersonal way, I'm saying that I appreciate and love you. A lot of those people can read this, so, you know who you are. Really, it's pretty frickin hard to get on my bad side, so even if you think I don't like you, you're probably wrong. You irritate me at best.

There are a lot of people who touch my life and I find that when some of you have come and gone, there is a hole left in my routine that makes me wish we could still do those things that we have done in the past. (too vauge? read: hang out, drink, watch tv, talk, play D&D, philosiphize, laugh etc)

So there.

<3

Mmmmmm Rosetta Stone Japanese came in the mail today. So tasty. It's a lot of fun too. Hopefully soon I will be a better speaker and reader instead of just a beginner level reader >.> The first lesson has all been pretty much "there's a boy." "there's a girl" "the girl is eating" "the woman is swimming". But, it's good. I think I could use a lot more verbal speaking though. I'm hoping that there will be more quizes as I go along. PIctures that as for you to make a statement about them. This sort of thing.

Also, my heart goes out to Shanzi and her family. Even though we're not close, I do enjoy reading her journal. I hope that her sister's radiation therapy goes well.

My dreams have not let me sleep well most nights. This morning I slept okay last night but when I woke up I was saddened because the dream I had woken from was not real. I am not willing to chalk the last two month's fatigue to either poor sleep or any other seemingly obvious causes. This week I am going to have my thyroid checked, again, and I think that it would actually be a blessing if it were positive because then I would have an answer for why after a full nights sleep, coffee, and a good breakfast, I still feel like I need to lay down regardless of if I sleep or not.

Girl time the last two weeks has been great. I need more. I hope that we can keep up LOST get-togethers for as long as possible. Meanwhile, I'm hoping to host or co-host a stitch 'n bitch party. I've always been friends with lots of guys, but I'm finding more and more as I age that time with girls is extreemly valuable.

And, thus, I leave you with this quote. Which I found while browsing ZE WEBZ. It makes me feel vindicated, even if I'm not a huge Ayn Rand fan (though I did read Anthem and thought it was cool).

Anything may be betrayed, anyone may be forgiven, but not those who lack the courage of their own greatness. -Ayn Rand

First one - great with scandalous ending. Second one - go tivo go! .... why do I only hear the music? why can't I hear the dialogue? ... *fast forward* WTF there is NO track for the dialogue, sound effects....ANYTHING. Just the music...

O.o

WZZM's response to all the angry watchers was oops you'll have to watch it online. You mean online on abc.com where the flash player is screwed and the sound skips every 2 seconds? Great. Way to go. You suck.

PS : 15 minutes in the sound started skipping and overlapping. ARRRRGHHHH

On a note similar to Josh's post...aka pets.

I want to get rid of some, if not all, of the hamsters. I have 6 dwarf hamsters. They are all very cute, sweet, and don't bite you like some of the dwarves some of us may have known in the past.

There are three girls. One is gray/brown with a black stripe down her back. She lives with her daughter, a white baby with a gray stripe on her back. There is a second sister, who has been exiled to another tank because she liked to corral her sibling into a corner, sit on her, and make her squeek for hours on end (no actual harm was ever done to either hamster during this hamster rivalry)

There are three boys. Two of them are black with blacker stripes on their backs. The third is Spaz, the nutty daddy who, if he doesn't have his wheel, would do backflips off his tubes for entertainment. He is a sweetie too.

So, hams away. Please let me know if you would like one (or two they are small). Tanks can go with them too, along with everything in them.

I'm giving Michele first pick if she would like any of them as she is the one who gave me most of the tanks/supplies before she trucked off to Colorado.

Time to downsize on the mammal population. Now that we've gone crazy and gotten a snake and have a third cat on the way, I think it's time to get over my hamster hobby, as I don't even play with the cute little buggers that much anyway. Poor things. Love them!
